GREAT workout. Bench is a deload week – reason why it is so low. But balance of workout was great. Felt very strong. Bench – nice and slow – solid. Dips – good. Took advantage of the deload to up the DB Press – felt great. Fly – solid as well. Tri Press – really strong – upped the reps a bit. Lying DB Ext good as was 1 Arm Under – all just solid and good form today. Got abs in as well. Weight is a bit higher than I would like but will work on getting that back down – but overall very happy.

Happy birthday workout to ME! Military – good – deload week so the weight wasn’t crazy – but good and solid. Front Raise – good – 100 wasn’t pretty – but got done/ Side Lat Raise – these things kill – but like em. DB Shrug – good – solid. In DB Curl – good. Haven’t been able to get past 45/6 in a long while – may need to lower weight and up reps. Rope curl and Con Curl good.
So turn 42 today – but have to say - don’t feel it. Feel pretty good! Hopefully a bit wiser and smarter – not sure though - HA

Holy crumbs – my dogs are barking BIG TIME this morning. Really thought about not doing Deads they hurt so much. I think I have the O-L-Ds!!! But got it done. Deads – good – sore – but good. Lat Pulldown – good – nothing exciting. Bent Over Row – good – solid. Bench Row – good. St Arm Pulldown – really like these – nice addition. OK – for leg curls – kept it light as my legs were really sore. Leg curls ok. Split Squat – well – I think the word is pitiful – but hey – it is what it is.

Bigger milestone is that this is 1 year out from competing. So taking two years off to improve. Think it has been fruitful – always hard to tell as the changes are small and incremental. Up about 24 lbs from competition - think I did put on some quality size as the weight went back on differently than in the past.
Still have much to improve on – but that is what the sport is all about. So I figure I have about 6 more months at my current weight and then will start cutting back slowly. Hoping to come in a few lbs heavier but leaner. All this work for a few lbs of improvement – HA. But I still enjoy it. Does give me the drive to lift every morning – otherwise without end goal in mind – I would probably skip a bit here and there – so it’s good having a goal!

Felt very motivated after being at the OCB competition this weekend. Some outstanding competitors – really re-energized me. So one year down and one to go – let’s make some progress!!

Good workout. A bit disappointed in the Military press. Need to do more than eight in order to move up in weight – didn’t get that (at least not cleanly) – so need to do a bit more work here. Side Lateral – good. Rear DB Raise – upped. Shrugs – upped the weight – nice and solid though. BB Curl – good – upped a bit – but going to need to stay here as form was getting a bit sloppy. Seated Alt Curl – upped and upped 1 Arm Preacher. Love Preacher – just feels very effective. So next week is a deload week – looking forward to that a bit.

Front Squat – LOVE front squat – was even able to up it a bit to 210 so happy about that. Steps Ups – hate step ups – but they exhaust me – so good. Next time need to put a few more risers on it I think. Calf – burned come the end of them. Great workout!!
