OK - simple question - but do people normally tan before competitions - or do you just rely on the sprays, creams, and other forms of "painted" on tans.
Is tanning really worth it - since you do paint/spray in prep for the competition - or is it "pre-tanning" more of a mental thing.
You know what? I find going to the tanning beds to be a HUGE pain in the butt!! I used to do it, then apply 6 coats of Protan......this time, I'm not taking the time to tan.....One less thing I have to do and a very small shred of my sanity will remain intact.

I liked the pro airbrush tan Joe had available at his last show--smooth and even tan--including touch ups in between prejudging and finals. Although I had four coats--judges thought I could have been darker!
