I think I'm stuck :(

I have been dieting since April 1st. I competed at the August 22 OCB show promoted by Joe. I completed at the September 13 OCB show promoted by Kareem. I have another show coming up on November 1st OCB Battle of the Swords.

At my 9/13 show i weighed 210lbs. I set a goal of 197lbs for the 11/1 show. 6 weeks to lose the weight. i have come down to 202 as of 10/9. I have gone up 2lbs as of this past Tuesday 10/14 and again this morning weighing 204lbs. Not sure if i should worry but obviously i want to see it go down each week. i could be totally trippin since i have been in diet mode/mood for so long.

So my question is should i stick to what i am doing:

50%protein, 30%fat, 20%carbs on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sunday
40%protein, 20%fat, 40%carbs on Wednesday and Saturday (these are my leg day workouts...most demanding so i figure these would be the best days to carb up on to help with energy and recovery)

protein sources: chicken, powder protein
carb sources: brown rice, oatmeal, banana, apple, malodextrin(postworkout) ezekiel bread
fat sources: natural peanut butter, flaxseed oil

OR

can any body recommend changes. i appreciate the helpsmile.gif

So you are down 6 pounds since 9/13, about 1 month, which to me is a lot.

What did you weigh at my show?

And what are your exact macro's for carbs, fat, and prot?

I didn't weigh myself at that show because it was a height class show. i didn't start carb cycling until after the 9/13 show.

Fat and protiens seem a little high at this point in the game.
To be conservative, I would reduce your fat and protien grams by 10 percent.

some days begin at 7am and don't end til midnight to 1am...that is why the protein is higher. i eat every 2-3 hours. should i still cut back by 10% on the protein?...is there something else i can eat other wise since i am up so long?

I hear ya about the hours, but try spreading out your meals more, 3 to 3.5 hours and supplement BCCA inbetween the meals.  This may keep you full and be able to reduce the calories.

Sounds like a plan...i will see what happens over the next 5 days and report back. maybe that DREN will kick in something special too. BTW i used Meltdown from 9/13 til 10/13 and lost that 210-202 weight.

Meltdown is a serious fat burner, I was considering to use it, but thought it would be too strong and cause me to burn too many cals, I've already been consistently dropping 1.5-2 lbs a week.

Woke up this morning at 204 (yesterday was HI day). Woke up yesterday at end of 3 days LO at 202 but damn if i didn't look totally different than last week. Joe you were right on with the fullness. bumping up my amino has helped considerably. Not getting any crazy starvation feelings. the DREN is really helping with my mood at nights/long days. so i will see what happens over the next 6 days (2 LO/HI/3 LO) and wake up wednesday morning with a bigger smile.

next week is my week leading into the show. when should i hit HIIT last? my last leg day will be this saturday, shoulders/traps on sunday, back/tris on monday and little everything on wednesday...this is how i have pretty much done it in the past so let me know if anyone sees some things that should change there

thank again Joe and for others for your time :)
